Kevy T,

I finally got a chance to read a few of your posts and I am really impressed. I am also depressed because I wanted to be like you so I started a blog, but alas my half-wit posts pale in comparison to your valuable insights. I'm fairly certain that Jill is the only person who will read my blog, and it seems like a waste of time to type it all out when I could just turn my head slightly to the right and tell her about it in 1/10th of the time...

On another note, this "motivation" post is very accurate based on my experiences. In addition to your comments, I believe people often overlook positive feedback as an incredibly effective means of motivation. I do not receive bonuses for saving more lives (although I'd get fired if a lot of my patients died...) but I continue to do my best because I like when people say that I am great at my job (along with a feeling of satisfaction I get when succeeding.) Genuine compliments are better than bonus checks in my opinion, and though you can't buy a nicer car with compliments, if you strive for positive feedback you'll be financially rewarded in the end.

Looking forward to the next post!
John G
